Grad 2022 Information

Graduation Update - May 27

  1. Grad Commencement Ceremony Ticket Sales ($10/ticket) has been extended to June 6th, 2022. Each guest will need a ticket to attend the ceremony. Grads tickets are included in Grad Fee.

    After June 1st  we will open up any extra tickets for purchase for those that require more than 6 tickets for guests. We will communicate how many will be available.

    To access your Grad tickets, log into the PowerSchool Parent Portal and go to "student fees".  There will see the Grad icon.  Click on the icon and add your tickets (Please note that tickets are limited to 6 tickets per family at this time).

    Once you have added your tickets to the online form, you need to go to your cart and check out.  Tickets must be paid at this time in order for the tickets to be processed.

  2. We will be hosting a Grad BBQ for all Graduates on Thursday June 16th (Last day of classes) from 3:30pm to 6:30pm. At that time we will be handing out to Graduates their Grad Lawn Sign, Grad Lanyard, and Grad Yearbook signing insert page.

    We are looking for any parents/guardians to volunteer to BBQ and assist in coordinating. Please email me if you can lend a hand starting at 3:00pm. Paul.schwartz@eips.ca

  3. Grad Fees ($95) can be paid on powerschool. The fee covers all the costs of the Grad Commencement Ceremony, Grad gown and cap, Certificate folder, lanyard, Yearbook insert page, Grad BBQ, Grad Week activities and much more.   4. Grad Ceremony Nominations close on June 1st. We need your nominations for Master of Ceremonies, Toast To Parents, Guest Speaker, and Student Performers.

  6. Yearbook Quote Submission Deadline is May 27th at 4 p.m. Please click on this link HERE

  7. Grad Gowns/caps will be organized, prepared and ready for Grads at the venue. They are yours to keep after Grad. We are looking for any volunteers with garment steamers to be available to lend us a hand on Monday June 28th from 4pm to 7pm at the Alliance Church to prepare gowns.   8. We will be having a Grade 12 Grad Meeting in early June to go over details of the Grad Ceremony and protocols/procedures.

Graduation Update - May 9

When:  Tuesday June 28th 4:30p.m. to 7:30pm

What:    Graduation Commencement Ceremony (facility seats 1000 people)

Ceremony tickets for guests will be $10 each and will be limited to 6 guests per Grad. (Graduates do not need a ticket) Any extra tickets will be made available if possible. Ticket purchases can be made on the Powerschool Parent Portal starting May 6th to May 23rd , 2022.

We will be doing a lottery draw for different seating zones on the floor (1000 seats) the week of May 24th to 27th.

***There will be a formal section of the ceremony where Grads will be able to do a promenade in their formal wear, as well as the promenade of Grads in their Grad gowns***

Grad Fee

The Grad fee in the amount of $95.00 has been added to the Parent Portal.  Please pay this fee no later than May 31st.  If you have any questions, please feel free to email Kim Walsh, Business Manager at kim.walsh@eips.ca.

2022 Graduation Update

We are so excited to update you on our 2022 Graduation Ceremony.

After much consideration on cost and feedback from our Grad survey, there will be no banquet portion to our Graduation this year. We will have an amazing Commencement Ceremony as in the past.

When:  Tuesday June 28th (4:30pm or 5:00pm start TBD)

Grad Portrait Retakes

The schedule for grad portrait retakes is now online. They are scheduled for April 11 & 12. Please follow these instructions to book your timeslot:

  • Go to www.iconexp.com
  • Click Book Now
  • Select the event – Ardrossan Grad
  • Select the service – Grad Portraits
  • Select your date and time from the times available at the school

NOTE: If there are no times that work for you at the school – feel free to change the event to Icon Studio Portraits and select a time at the studio

Graduation Portrait Information

Grad portraits have been scheduled for February 14-24, 2022. It is time for you to reserve your appointment. The booking will happen online so please make sure to reserve your spot as soon as possible.

Instructions:

  • Go to www.iconexp.com and click the “Book Now” button
  • First Select an event Ardrossan Jr-Sr Grad Portraits (Taken @ Ardrossan in the Theatre Lobby)
  • Select your Service Grad Portraits (At School-$30 Due at Portraits)
  • Select your appointment from the available times and dates and complete all required information

At www.iconexp.com you can click the Grad Portraits button for information on our portrait program as well as the How to order Grad portraits for detailed instructions on how to order

You will receive a confirmation shortly after booking your appointment as well as a reminder the day prior to your appointment.  Please contact Icon if you have any questions.

In order to ensure your safety and that of our staff we have made a few adjustments to our operations:

  1. If you are experiencing any symptoms related to Covid-19, as outlined by Alberta Health Services, please do not come to your appointment, we will be happy to reschedule you at a later date.
  2. At this time we will not be including pets, friends or family members in portrait sittings. 
  3. We will only be accepting debit and credit for payment of sitting fees. 
  4. The use of props provided by ICON is voluntary; we have implemented safety protocols for sanitizing props or will provide one time use props for each sitting.  Graduates may bring appropriate props to be included in their sitting.
  5. We suggest males wear a SHIRT AND TIE for formal photos and females wear V-NECK or SCOOP NECK top for formal photos. We will not have shirts and ties for graduates to use.
