Ardrossan Music Parents Society (A.M.P.S) Update

AMPS has been pretty quiet the last couple of years as we haven't been able to fundraise due to COVID restrictions. We are pleased to see restrictions lifting finally so things like fundraising and field trips, competitions, and band camps are on the horizon. The AMPS board has been busy behind the scenes and here's an update:

1. BAND HOODIES are on sale again this year! Order forms were emailed out to band families on Monday. You can select between royal blue and grey, as well as customize your hoodie with your name, instrument, and either Junior or Senior Band on the back. Roxanne Dunham from Cre8tive Cottage is designing the hoodies again. All orders are due back on Friday, March 25th. Delivery will be at the end of April. Buying a hoodie is optional but it's a great way for band students to "band" together and to promote the music programs at Ardrossan. 2. Our first fundraiser in a couple of years will be the VIP FOODS FUNDRAISER. People have been asking when we'd be able to hold this fundraiser again, and here it is! A fundraising package will be sent home with all band students the week of March 21st. Orders are due on Monday, April 4th (after Spring Break). Order Pick Up will be at the school on the early morning of Saturday, April 9th. Please send only 1 payment for the TOTAL order by cash, cheque (made to AMPS) or eTransfer. Further instructions will be in the ordering package. Funds raised go to participating student band accounts and can be used for band camps, field trips, competitions, music (pretty much anything music related). If you don't have a student in band, but would still like to submit an order, please contact our Fundraising Director, Stacy DaSilva at smdasilva2008@gmail.com.
   
   
3. If you are a band parent and have NOT filled out an AMPS Membership Form, please contact the President, Celeste Burdinsky at AMPSpres@gmail.com or 780-922-6890.
   
   
4. The next AMPS Meeting will be on Monday, April 25th at 4:15 pm in the Band Room. All band parents are welcome and encouraged to share their ideas. For those not comfortable meeting in person, you will be able to participate in the meeting online through Google Meet. If you'd like to participate virtually, please let either Mr. Basaraba or Celeste Burdinsky know in advance so that the meeting link can be emailed out to you.
